William Butch Jackson, Sr. of 157 Victory Heir St. departed this life Sunday May 30, 2010. A life long resident of Hendersonville he was a son of Alexander Watkins of East Flat Rock.
Butch was a graduate of West Henderson High school and obtained certificates from BRCC in auto mechanics. He was employed with the N.C. Division of Transportation where he worked for 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul Tabernacle AME Zion Church where he was a member of the men's club, choir, usher board and Lay Counseling.
Surviving in addition to his father are daughters, Kasheiva Jackson, Zsaria Jackson and Freda Retana, Shynice Edwards, Calesa Ash, Shayla Ash, Natasha Ash and Brittney Newsome all of hendersonville; brothers, sisters, a grandson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His son William Butch Jackson, Jr. "BJ" went to be with the Lord on May 30 2010.
Services will be held Saturday at 1pm in Mud Creek Baptist Church 403 Rutledge Rd. Revs. Pollard, James Pea and Anthony McMinn will officiate , burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services and other times at the residence.
