James Edward "Spider Man" Sullivan of 207 Caribou Rd. died Saturday, June 26, 2010. A life long resident of Asheville he was a son of the late Andrew and Mallie Fuller Sullivan, and husband of the late Annie Mae Sullivan.
"Spider" was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a 1963 graduate of Stephens-Lee High School.
Surviving are his son, James Sullivan, Jr. (Melissa) of Glasgow, KY; daughters, Effie Dixon (Greg), Pennie Ware (Roger) and Jamie Oliver (Charles) of Asheville; brother, Jehru Sullivan of Asheville; sisters, Sally Twitty, Annie H. Carson (Louis) and Evonne Little (Leonard) of Asheville; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Service. Rev. Randolph Evans will officiate, burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
