Gussie L. Sibert of 25 Lincoln Ave. West departed this life on Sunday, July 11, 2010. A native of Clinton, SC and resident of Asheville for a number of years, she was a daughter of the late Mary L. Fuller, and retired from Memorial Mission Hospital after 30 years of employment.
Surviving are her son, Frank Sibert, Jr. (Virginia) of Asheville; daughters, Regina Sibert and Latrisha Brannon (Johnny) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Janie Martin of Ware-Shoals, SC; devoted grandchildren, Travis, Jazmine, Jerel and Latreece Sibert, Christine and George Underwood, Jr.; step grandchildren, Johnny and Aaron Brannon; great grandchildren, Tariq Sibert and Diego Underwood; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her loving grandson, Frank Sibert, III and her sister, Roberta Freeman.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in New Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Phyllis Martin will officiate, burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery.
