Susie M. Gray, 72, of Rock Hill Rd died Monday July 19, 2010. Born in Greenwood, SC and life long resident of Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Carter, Sr. & Lillie Mae Lewis Carter.
Mrs. Gray was a 1956 graduate of Stephens-Lee High School and retired from Square D Co. after 30 years of employment.
Surviving are her son Richard Gray, Jr. (Petra); daughter, Charlene Gray (Samuel), grandchildren, Suzanne & Travis Gray; Waylon & Demarcus Smith; great granddaughter, Nywayah; mother in law, Mary "Trina" Hazel; all of Asheville; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gray, Sr.; brothers, Ernest, Willie, Bobby & Leo Carter.
