My Dearest Friends Billy and Reather,
My heartfelt prayers are with you, we are deeply sad about your loss of your most precious, kind, generous, and loving mother.
I spoke with her every time I visited home, she and mama spoke daily. She will be greatly missed.

No words can express my sympathy.Even though Dot was my cousin she was more like my Aunt.I have so many great memories from when I stayed with you all in Asheville.The jokes and fun I had with Dot will stay with me forever!Reather and Billy I know you are hurting now but remember Dot loved you,and I know she is in heaven spreading that love.Sorry I couldn't be there for you .
