We at Jim's Garage would like to say that we thought Butch was one of the finest men we knew. He was always pleasant to be around and had a good attitude. We will miss him and never forget him. Our prayers to the family at this difficult time.

To the Family:
Butch and I talked when I was in H'ville May, 2009 on a visit to my adopted "home." When you are part of a church family it just seems to bring you closer together. He will rest in peace because he was a sweet, God-fearing man.

How do you find the words to tell a friend goodbye. To tell that person who would come to your rescue at 3 in the morning, without the slightest hint of complaint, farewell. You can't. So I'll only say - I Love You, Butch. And I'll see you when I get there.

Butch! You was like an uncle to me. Just one of those uncles that would come to the rescue when you needed anything. In my case it was fixing my car. In my mind you was the neighborhood mechanic for majority of us. You had such high spirits. Always so positive. You will be missed god know you will. But even though you are not here, you left behind that voice and your positivity. I love you!

I was 2 years behind Butch in school and we rode the same school bus.My first day on the bus I was a scared 7th grader and some older kids started picking on me.Butch took up for me and they left me alone.I thanked him and he told me to stop thanking him. That's the kind of person he was.I'm sorry for your loss.May God be with your family. To the family and friends of William "Butch" Jackson.
I truly will miss Butch and his humbleness. I spoke with him about a year ago and he was telling me that he needed to get somethings right. I see that he has done just that and God saw that he was needed elsewhere. After pouring out himself to everyone around him God called him and his son home. May your sorrows become joy with the knowledge and remembrance of a son, husband, brother;and friend to all...yeh, that was "BUTCH" my friend..God Bless you all!

My friend will be missed. Butch and I loved to Fish. We have traveled to, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia and some days all we got were mosquito bites. Yet we loved it. It will be different the next time I go. I will remember his smile and his tactics of fishing and I will know how important it is to have had a friend like Butch. I Thank God for all the good times we had. To all of his family, may God bless you today and in the days to come. Butch and BJ will be missed.

Butch Sr. was always good friends with my father, Samuel James Darity, who passed 20 years ago. A few years ago, I passed Butch and didn't even recognize him for a moment, but he knew exactly who I was and embraced me remembering my father. He was always so nice, polite and EVERYONE knew him to be that way. He will be missed and I wish for peace to be with his children.

"And God shall wipe away all of your tears..." It is with great sorrow that we greet you today. Butch was truly loved by our family as well as being one we call a friend. He helped all in need, he was caring and loved his family more than anything. He willl be missed, yet the memories will bring us joy and make us smile. Trust God now, believe in him. He will sustain you during this time and in the days to come. We will continue to pray for guidance for each of those who cherish his memory.
